Macau, officially the number one gambling Mecca anywhere in the world. Forget Las Vegas and its family-oriented approach, here in (until ten years ago) Portuguese-occupied China, it’s all about the casinos. Sure, they’ve got Cirque De Soleil and host hugely overpriced gigs from the likes of Linkin Park and Beyonce, but audiences tend to have their tickets bundled together with their hotel bill as part of a weekend package and would far rather be hitting the tables than watching spandex-clad Frenchmen lift each other.
POKER KING plays like a tourist ad for this gold leaf-smothered playground, where the casino floors are clean, every hotel room boasts a plunge pool and floor to ceiling windows, the cobbled streets exude romantic European quaintness and even the bottled water is free. Everyone is a winner in this version of Macau. Everyone, that is, except Jack Chang (Louis Koo).
Jack is heir to a powerful casino conglomerate, currently operating under the watchful eye of Uno Cheuk (Lau Ching Wan), gambling addict turned Chang Sr.’s business partner. When his father dies, Jack returns to Macau, but soon loses his share of the business to Uno in a poker game

Synopsis:
China 450AD, the dynasty was under constant threat from ruthless Rouran tribe. With such a major security threat at hand, the Chinese army conducted a nation wide draft.

Through the harsh military training, Mulan proved to be a courageous and unstoppable, and always helped others to fend off the army bully. She gained the attention of Wentai (starring Chen Kun), the battalion’s Vice Commander. They soon developed a mutual admiration.
However, Mulan was in constant danger of revealing her gender. When Wentai ran into her bathing by accident, Mulan was fortunate enough to escape without exposing her identity, but Wentai was determined to uncover the woman hiding among the troops. To make things worse, the army bully had lost a jade pendant and a strip-search was ordered. Terrified to reveal herself and tarnish her father’s reputation, Mulan admitted the theft and was sentenced to death. When Rourans launched a surprise attack, Wentai released Mulan from jail to let her flee. But Mulan stayed for a battle and decapitated the Rouran General. Her life was spared of this merit and even promoted to be Vice commander. Together, Mulan and Wentai fought through various battles, and their friendship gradually turns into romance.
However, the Rourans were getting stronger as their Prince Mudan murdered his father and seized the throne. Facing an unprecedented scale of attack, Mulan was vastly outnumbered, and both her love and brevity were put to the ultimate test. Would she sacrifice true love for the peace of her nation?

Jo had kept hatred in his heart for a very long time and did what he could to oust his uncle Wong Bing-Yi (Sammo Hung) from the village and to claim the rights to the “Dragon-Head Cleaver”, a symbol of power to the clan. As Wong Bing-Yi was forced out of the village, he encountered Shen Qing (Cherrie Ying) by chance and is determined to help her during the troubled times at her restaurant “Four Seas”.
Here, he discovered a young cooking wonder, Lung Kin-Yat (Vaness Wu). To bring “Four Seas” back to the top, Lung ends up representing “Four Seas” to the competition against Chef Tin (Lam Tze Chung), two times “Top Chef” winner and the head chef at “Imperial Palace”, the restaurant owned by Jo.

Two couples Mr and Mrs Chan ( Mrs Chan played by Maggie Cheung ) and Mr and Mrs Chow ( Mr Chow played by Tony Leung Chiu Wai ) move into the same building on the same day. Both spend much time alone as their respective spouses work long hours. One day they discover when talking things over that their spouses are having an affaire. The two lonely hurt people come together as friends and try to reproduce the infidelity of their husband and wife whilst analysing just how it happened. Deciding in doing so to avoid the usual clichés and above all not become like ‘them’ they end up by falling in love for real. In becoming what they had objected to and despised they break up and leave for different lives. In the end of the movie we learn that both of the couples have split up and are alone. Mrs Chow has a son which we assume could be Mr Chow’s although their ‘union’ was never actually shown, but implied. A divine movie with a beautiful haunting music and fabulous photography.

In 1905, Sun Yat-sen (called “Sun Wen” in the film) intends to come to Hong Kong (then a colony of the British Empire) to discuss his plans for revolution with fellow Tongmenghui members to overthrow the corrupt and crumbling Qing Dynasty. Empress Dowager Cixi sends a group of assassins led by Yan Xiaoguo to kill Sun. Revolutionary Chen Shaobai arrives in Hong Kong a few days before Sun’s arrival, to meet Li Yutang, a businessman who provides financial aid for the revolutionaries. As Sun Wen’s arrival day draws near, trouble begins brewing in Hong Kong as Chen Shaobai’s acquaintances are murdered and Chen himself is kidnapped by the assassins during a raid. Li Yutang decides to officially declare his support for the revolutionaries after the newspaper agency is closed by the British authorities, who maintain a policy of laissez-faire towards China’s political situation. Li rallies a group of men, including rickshaw pullers, hawkers and a beggar, to serve as bodyguards for Sun Wen when he arrives. Li’s son Li Chongguang is chosen to act as a decoy for Sun Wen to divert the assassins away while Sun attends the meeting and leaves Hong Kong safely.

A few weeks later, Ko Fung’s father is found dead in his reading room. Who is the culprit? As for suspects, there are many out there. The story begins from the 1930s, spanning over 70 years till modern day.
Juxiang is born into a big Peranakan family where her mum is a mistress. She is gentle, beautiful and a fantastic cook. Born deaf-mute, she is ostracized by people. Right before the Japanese Occupation in Singapore, she is forced to marry a rich Peranakan as a mistress. Juxiang resists the marriage and runs away from home. She then meets a young Japanese photographerand after many obstacles, they finally get married and Juxiang gives birth to a daughter Yue Niang. During the World War, Juxiang is tortured and both her husband and her dies leaving behind their 8-year-old daughter.
Yue Niang is passed around families and eventually ends up at her grandfather’s house. Under the supervision of her grandmother, Yue Niang learns to cook Peranakan dishes and sewing. She grows up looking exactly like her mother and is exceptionally beautiful. After the war, her maternal relatives who ran away to England to seek refuge during wartime return home. Yue Niang then leads the life of her mother – always discriminated, beaten up and tortured. She puts up with all these in order to protect her grandmother.
Yue Niang’s pretty looks incurs jealousy from her cousin and attracted many rich Peranakans to chase after her. However, she only has eyes for penniless driver Chen Xi.
Chen Xi actually comes from an educated and wealthy family. He hides his identity to be with Yue Niang. Yue Niang’s kindness, pureness and persistence move Chen Xi and he loves her deeply too. Unfortunately, their relationship is filled with many obstacles and difficulties. Under pressure from his family, Chen Xi is forced to marry Yue Niang’s cousin instead. Yue Niang is then sold to a butcher, Liu Yi Dao.
Yue Niang is unwilling to accept the fact that her life is always manipulated by others and decides to end her own life. Yue Niang’s strong personality impresses Liu Yi Dao and they become sworn siblings instead. Yue Niang decides to choose her own path in life. She begins learning how to run a business and in the process, she is framed and ousted from her business. Although she is badly hit, she manages to overcome the odds and save her declining family business. Sadly, her love life has yet to begin a new chapter with no news about her lover, Chen Xi.

This series begins with an attack that is made on the commissioner of police. The three police officers – Alex, Patrick and Kevin – are on this case. They want to collect enough evidence about the triad’s boss Marco, who they think have made the attack. For many years they have been on this case and Patrick has been working undercover.
In Thailand there are two police officers, Sririta Jensen and Chatchai Plengpanich. Chatchai is working undercover. In Thailand there is another triad boss who is the father of Marco. He treats Chatchai like his true son and Chatchai has been following him for many years. Sririta Jensen is helping out on the Marco case. This series revolves around the undercover cops and the police officers trying to find evidence on Marco and his father, and there are many difficult situations that they need to overcome.

A pair of amoral thieves end up defending a tiny village they initially came to pilfer in “The Robbers,” a rambunctious black comedy in period duds that plays like a Chinese riff on “Seven Samurai.”

The film may have a new element in its French star, but it also features familiar themes, situations, and even Hong Kong actors that have been a part of the Milkyway tradition for years. Male camaraderie through food, eccentric and often dark humor, stylized blood sprays, and posing, lots of posing – much of this has been seen before. In fact, if not for the French money involved, Vengeance could easily be a story about a character of any nationality.

Japanese evil warlord Lord Godless desired to conquer China. He imprisoned a large number of martial artists and tried to make them subjugate. Among the prisoners were Cloud and the martial arts elder statesman Nameless. Wind came to the rescue. The trio was badly wounded by Lord Godless’s evil martial arts attack. Chu Chu was also knocked out when she blocked Cloud from Lord Godless’s strike. The remaining martial artists sacrificed their lives to save the trio, in the hope that the trio would beat Lord Godless one day and save the country.
Chu Chu was badly wounded and stayed unconscious. Cloud was filled with remorse and vowed to take revenge. Wind chose to take the evil way to quickly boost up his martial arts skills, so that he could protect the people. During his training, he met the girl who changed his life, Dream. Meanwhile, the troop of Lord Godless came to attack. Wind’s training was interrupted when he tried to save Dream from Lord Godless’s assault. After some killings, Wind ran away and disappeared….
Lord Godless took The Emperor in captivity and stationed his troops in Heaven Cave. Cloud arrived alone and started a combat with Lord Godless. Lord Godless had the upper hand. In the meantime, the half-evil Wind appeared and joined the battle. During the fight, they inadvertently discovered the secret of the sovereign. The real intention of Lord Godless’s invasion was related to an ancient tomb, a forbidden ground buried with the Royal family’s secret. The truth was finally revealed. At last, how would the battle end? Who would eventually rule over the country?

A rich woman TSEUNG TIN NGOR (Shiu Mei Ki, Maggie)’s beloved dog CANDY has got behaviour problems since NGOR is being kidnapped.
