Review
When I first heard about this series, I thought "Oh cool, one of these eh?" I really dislike Vincent Zhao Wen Zhuo who plays the main lead. So, I decided to put off watching this series for a couple of months. One day, I just decided to start watching it because I wanted to give a little bang to my buck lol. I watched the first episode and The comedic parts weren't really my style at first, but it eventually grew on me. This series takes a bit of a sad and slower turn towards the end. Anyways, I continued watching and with every episode I fell more and more in love. Especially with the romance story of Liu Zhang and Ti Ying.
This drama is mainly about Empress Lu Hou, seeking the antidote for everlasting life. She makes General Liu Zhang find this medicine for her so she can be forever young. On his journey, he meets Ti Ying and they both grow very fond of each other. However, Princess Qin Zi, loves him as well. I hate watching bad endings so I didn't want watch the last few episodes for a long time. When I finally caved in, I was simply amazed. I don't want to spoil it so I'll just say that I have never felt so satisfied with an ending like this one! Better than anything I've ever dreamed of. *insert big grin here* If you're looking for a little bit of mythology, mystery, and a nice romance story this series is a must see!

Synopsis:
The setting of this story takes place in Shanghai. Benny (Ho Jia Lin) is from Hong Kong and is quite successful in his career in Shanghai. He has a steady girlfriend of 3 years who resides in HK. They communicate only through chat because Benny is too busy with his career. One day, his girlfriend, Li Si, goes missing. He goes nuts asking everyone he knows of Li Si's whereabouts. Finally, Li Si calls him and tells him that she is in Shanghai. Exultant, he rushes into the hotel where Li Si is staying and hugs her the minute he sees her. Then the bomb explodes. Li Si announces that she is going steady with Liu Te Khai (Wang Ren Yi) and that it’s time for them to end their relationship. Confused and hurt by his girlfriend and friend's (he considers his boss his brother) betrayal, Jia Lin decides to resign from his work and set up a new company of his own. That's when the true story begins.
Synopsis: Masterfully interweaving fictional characters and events with those from history, Jin Yong's last wuxia novel tells the story of an unconventional hero who achieved fame and success due to sheer luck and clever gimmicks. Born in a Yangzhou brothel, Wei Xiao Bao is naturally cunning, witty and lazy. Thinking he's learned everything there is to know about heroes since the beginning of time from patrons of the local teahouse, Xiao Bao decides he wants to be one too. On a whim, he aids Mao Shi Ba, a chivalrous man who'd fallen on hard times. Xiao Bao then convinces Mao Shi Ba to bring him to Beijing, where the real adventures begin.
After being captured and brought into the palace, Xiao Bao tricks Head Eunuch Hai and takes over the identity of Xiao Gui Zi, a little eunuch. One day while wandering around, Xiao Bao chances upon young Emperor Kang Xi, who is practicing martial arts. After exchanging a few bouts, the two develop an unlikely friendship. Throughout the series, Xiao Bao serves as Kang Xi's right-hand man in disposing of the power-hungry Ao Bai, weakening Wu San Gui's rebellion, and dealing with all sorts of other challenges while trying to keep his other identity as designated mole for Tian Di Hui, an anti-Qing organization, under wraps.
In a school where academic reigns supreme and sports are relegated to a dusty corner of the campus, Li Ying vows to revive the basketball team by volunteering to be the coach. Her first member is Yuan Da Ying, a country boy who is passionate for basketball but has no skills. Their recruitment goes into high gear when Dong Fang Xiang, a legendary basketball player, transfers to their school. At the same time, Yuan Da Ying falls for Zhan Jie Er, a scholarship student who reminds him of his childhood friend. Things are complicated by the fact her family works for Dong Fang Xiang, who she also grew up with. Their encounter may just rewrite the school's basketball history.

The golden triangle of Zhang Guoli, Wang Gang, and Zhang Tielin reunite after four years for the fourth series of The Bronze Teeth! The highly rated Mainland television drama has shown no signs of slowing down, as the audience has demanded the three actors to continue to wreak comedy havoc as the wise scholar and official Ji Xiaolan, the pathetically corrupt minister Heshen, and the Qianlong Emperor respectively. The core trio gain some high-profile co-stars in this outing, most notably Hong Kong pop diva and actress Miriam Yeung, who plays a kung fu girl and follower of Ji here, after collaborating with Zhang Guoli (who doubles as the director) previously in Love at First Fight. Following her absence in the third series, actress Yuan Li’s adorable character Du Xiaoyue is back in the storyline this time. Also, the addition of comedian Yan Ni, famous show host Liu Yiwei, and Dream of the Red Chamber rising starlet Yao Di helps inject new blood into the popular franchise.

In search of the last model for his painting “Nine Pretty Women”, acclaimed scholar TONG PAK FU (Moses Chan) goes on a trip to Hangzhou with his ardent disciple WAT KEI (Lee Sze Chit). While there, he meets a pretty young maid from WAH’s Residence, CHAU HEUNG (Myolie Wu). FU is mesmerized by HEUNG’s beauty and martial agility and falls in love with her right away. In order to approach the girl, he disguises as a servant and assumes the pseudonym WAH ON, seeking to win her affections with his talent and ingenuity. But contrary to his wishes, HEUNG is unmoved and even harbours an intense dislike for him after a series of misunderstandings. Master of the family WAH HUNG SHAN (Ha Yu) knew from the very beginning that FU is not a common man. By the time his true identity is revealed, the scholar has already developed a close bond with the whole of the family, except HEUNG. In the meantime, Prince LING (Tsang Wai Kuen), who has been attempting to rebel against Emperor CHING TAK (Lai Lok Yi), has managed to involve FU in his conspiracy by stratagem, thus getting the man and the WAHs into big trouble. LING’s daughter CHU TING YUK (Fala Chen) is in love with FU. Desperate to save her dream man, she forces LING to release FU by threatening to kill herself. YUK’s consuming passion for FU seems to have caused a ripple of unease in HEUNG, who is starting to feel a little twinge of jealousy inside.

In 1970s Hong Kong, rapacious landlords try to evict 72 tenants but sworn brothers Ha Kung (Eric Tsang) and Shek Kin (Jacky Cheung) help the group of 72 defeat the landlord (Lam Ka Tung) and landlady (Charmaine Sheh) and coincidentally rescue Pinky (Anita Yuen) from a planned forced marriage. When both sworn brothers fall for Pinky and propose to her, she flips a coin heads or tails and Ha wins her hand in marriage.
The sworn brothers become sworn enemies and Sheks hatred fuels intense rivalry against Ha in business dealings ranging from the manufacture of plastic flowers to the selling of stinky bean curd. Even after 40 years they continue to clash and in 2010 they are in keen competition selling electronics appliances in Sai Yeung Choi Street, Mongkok, the busiest street in the city and still home to the 72 tenants.
In fiercely competitive Sai Yeung Choi Street high rents force businessmen to use every means to survive, with electronics shops employing pseudo models in sales promotion campaigns and comic shops offering foot-massage services by Lolita, etc. These ploys are minor compared with the tactics of the landlord (mainland actor) who threatens to close down the shops unless his demands for triple rental are met. Amidst this strife and struggle the street is hit by acid-attacks and in high spirits the 72 tenants unite and pledge to safeguard their home.
Against a background of fear and turmoil, with the old love triangle between Ha and Pinky and Shek still festering, the next generation of the Ha and Shek families embarks on their own heroic love affairs: MJ-style dancer Ha Junior (Bosco Wong) is fascinated by Shek’s daughter (Stephy Tang) who is a Japanese AV culture fan; Ha’s daughter (Linda Chung), a kung fu maiden, is pursued by Shek’s love-struck son (Wong Cho Lam), the smart shortie. Affairs of the heart yet to be resolved.

The series began with the conclusion of a court case, which ruled that Cheung Hock Yu, having been missing since his kidnapping three years ago, is legally dead. His wife, Fok Sum Yi, did not accept the ruling, and disappeared later that evening, leaving behind a letter with the lyrics of Old Black Joe written on it.
The series flashed back to the 80s. It was revealed that Fok Sum Yi came from a wealthy family that later lost all its wealth in a stock market crash. Sum Yi’s father commits suicide after losing his fortune. In order to support her siblings, Sum Yi became a television actress. However, she endured many hardships and humiliation and never attained true success in the field. She eventually reunites with her first love Cheung Hock Yu. Sum Yi and Hock Yu marry despite objections from Hock Yu’s family.
Through wit and manipulation, Sum Yi was able to win the Cheung family over, and climbed the corporate ladder to become one of the key figures in the Cheung’s family business. While Sum Yi gained wealth and power, the romance between her and her husband faded, and she also made many enemies in the business world, which led to Hock Yu's kidnapping.
Police caught the kidnapper and the kidnapper stated how Hock Yu attempted to escape with a gunshot wound and fell off a cliff. This made Sum Yi believe that if she didn’t prolong the money exchanging process and gave the money right away, Hock Yu wouldn’t have to go through so much pain. As the police didn’t find Hock Yu’s body, just his blood-stained shirt, they suggested that Hock Yu's body might have been eaten by animals, or washed away due to heavy rain.
